Main Features of the Curriculum
Tutorial Groups
To establish rapport between the teacher and the taught, all the students are divided into tutorial groups. Each group is placed under the guidance of a tutor who keeps records of the activities and progress of the students of the group during their stay in the college. Character certificates are issued on the basis of these records.
National Service Scheme
The NSS Unit offers students opportunities for community service through activities like campus sanitation, health awareness programs, and social issue campaigns. Camps feature competitions like poster making and declamation, along with tree plantation, blood donation, and themed rallies.
Co-Curricular Activities
The college hosts various co-curricular activities to ensure holistic student development. A week-long orientation with talent hunts and seminars kicks off the session. Student-led societies organize events like debates, quizzes, and creative competitions. Professional skill activities and awareness drives on social and health issues are also regularly conducted.
Value Education Periods
Value Education periods are organized on Mondays and are an important feature of college life. Students contribute speeches, devotional songs etc. to these programmes. The important days and landmarks of Indian and world history are celebrated during these assemblies.
Guidance Unit
The Guidance Unit plays a vital role in supporting students' academic, personal, and career development. Through counseling sessions, career talks, and workshops on mental health and personality development, the unit empowers students to make informed decisions and confidently face life’s challenges.

VMS College of Education fosters holistic growth through diverse co-curricular activities. NSS camps, awareness drives, cultural events, and creative competitions help students develop leadership, creativity, and a sense of social responsibility alongside academic learning.
